Thanks to their highly durable materials, our classic, functional, and responsible bags are made to last. With a few simple steps, you can ensure that your bag can be used for many years to come, while also reducing the overall environmental impact throughout its lifetime.

The best tips we can give:

  1. Avoid machine washing. Use a damp cloth to remove dirt.
  2. Use an impregnation spray on water-repellent products like our No Rain styles to maintain their properties.
  3. If cracks appear in your bag, the design makes it easy to sew the damaged seams back together.
  4. Replace damaged zippers, buttons, or metal details to extend the lifespan of your bag.
  5. Recycle your bag by giving it away, selling it, or donating it.

COTTON CANVAS

Our bags are made from plain woven fabric crafted from cotton, linen, or hemp. These materials are extremely durable and robust.

Be sure to empty your bag completely and remove all dust and dirt before you begin cleaning it.

Use a damp, soft, white cloth with warm water. Wring out the excess water and gently but firmly wipe your bag clean. Avoid washing leather trims, buttons, inserts, or appliqués.

Also avoid colored parts, as they can cause color fading or bleeding.

If your bag is made entirely of woven fabric, you can also soak the whole bag in a sink filled with warm water and a small amount of liquid soap, provided that any prints or decorations on the bag can tolerate contact with water.

LEATHER

Our bags are made from natural leather and are unique.

Each piece of leather has its own distinct appearance with small imperfections and irregularities, giving it an authentic look.

Fortunately, caring for leather products is simple. Marks and scratches can, when treated properly, add even more natural beauty to the material.

Most stains can be removed with warm soapy water. Use a damp, white, and soft cloth, and gently remove the stains with the warm water until they are gone. Then use a clean cloth to dry the areas that need extra attention.

For more stubborn stains, you should use a leather care kit and follow the instructions carefully.

To treat deep scratches and worn edges, use a leather balm kit and a sponge to restore the natural glossy surface by adding moisture to the leather. This will also help keep the leather soft and make the bag more resistant to everyday bumps and scratches.

MESH

Most of our sports bags are made from mesh, as it is a strong material and provides a stylish look. The rule of thumb is to remove dirty clothes and food remnants from the bag at the end of the day.
If you notice new stains, use a soft cloth with warm soapy water and gently rub in circular motions. Don’t forget to let your bag dry completely, both inside and out – leave it open overnight.

MICROFIBER, NYLON AND POLYESTER

You only need a few things to clean your nylon and microfiber accessories: a soft brush, a cloth, and liquid soap.

Before you begin, you should know what type of stain you are dealing with, as this determines the cleaning method.

If you spill on your accessory, remove the stain immediately to avoid permanent marks. Use a damp, soft, white cloth and gently wipe the stain away with cold water. If necessary, use a small amount of liquid soap on the stain. Dry your accessory immediately with a hairdryer on low heat.

If you spill any type of oil on your nylon accessory – car oil, salad dressing, or body oil – remove as much of the grease as possible immediately. Use a damp soft cloth to blot the oil stain and remove as much as you can. Sprinkle a little baking soda on the stain and use a soft brush to gently work the powder into the fibers.

  • Avoid using cleaning agents on microfibers unless they are specifically designed for that purpose.
  • Do not use detergents containing bleach to clean any type of microfiber.
  • Do not wait. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to remove the stain.
  • Microfibers are heat-sensitive – do not tumble dry your bag or dry it directly with a hot hairdryer.
  • Do not soak your nylon or microfiber bag in water for cleaning.

SILK

Silk is a wonderful and luxurious material with a beautiful surface. In addition to being a beautiful fabric, silk feels light and soft – like a feather.

If you want to keep your silk accessories forever, you should take good care of them.

Silk handles hand washing best with a mild detergent. Soak your accessory in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes with a small amount of detergent, then wrap it in a dry towel to remove most of the water.

If you get a stain, do not try to rub it with water – the color may fade where you rubbed. A few drops of vinegar can help remove the stains. You can iron silk, but always iron on the reverse side of the fabric and with low heat. Silk is a very delicate material and should always be kept slightly moist. Avoid hanging silk in direct sunlight for long periods, as the color may fade and turn yellowish.

WOOL

If you take good care of your wool accessories, they will keep you warm for many years.

It is always best to hand wash your favorite wool accessories. If you don’t have time and your accessory is labeled “hand wash,” you can safely put it in the washing machine together and set it to the hand wash or wool cycle.

Wash in lukewarm or cold water and use a mild soap or liquid detergent. Soak for 3-5 minutes and gently remove the excess water by rolling your accessory in a towel. Then lay it flat on a surface to dry.

Here are some good tips for taking care of your accessory when traveling:

  • You should fold or loosely roll your accessory in tissue paper to help it maintain its shape and avoid wrinkles.
  • If your accessory becomes wrinkled, you can hang it in a steam-filled bathroom, steam it, or iron it with a warm iron.

JACQUARD FABRIC

To maintain the condition of your jacquard fabric, dust your accessories with a soft brush or a damp sponge.

During drying, avoid exposing the fabric to direct sunlight or contact with various chemicals.

RHINESTONES AND BEADS

DAY ET has bags and accessories decorated with rhinestones or beads, which make them unique. The rhinestones and beads may fall off, but this does not make the product less valuable. Take care of the product and treat it well – it will last longer.

DENIM

If you have a denim bag, be aware that denim material can rub off on light-colored surfaces such as clothing or furniture when you use your bag. If your denim bag gets dirty, you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Keep the bag away from light surfaces while drying, as the color may transfer. Due to the intensity of the dye, the color may gradually fade over time.
